Enchanted Mezuzah — Handmade by Miriam, Age 11

Hi! I’m Miriam, and this mezuzah is called Enchanted because the colors look kind of magical to me.

I made it by doing a paint pour on wood, which means you pour different colors of paint together and let them swirl around. I like paint pouring because you never really know exactly what it is going to look like until it dries.

Then I added a Washi tape border around the edge because I thought it needed something extra, and finished it with a metal shin.

It is made from wood, acrylic paint, Washi tape, and metal, and then sealed to help protect the artwork.

It fits a scroll up to 4 inches long. The scroll is not included.

For indoor use only.

Because I made this by hand, the paint swirls and little details are not going to be perfectly even — which is actually one of my favorite things about it. No two paint pours come out exactly the same.
